EDUCATION IN TREATMENT
Our goal, mission, structure, and approach to Education in Treatment is to help students achieve overall educational wellness
The Arrow House partners with nationally accredited schools that provide both online synchronized learning as well as 1 to 1 learning options.
Residential Treatment at The Arrow House includes 2.5 hours of school with a small therapeutic classroom of 6-10 students per pod.
The focus of residential education is to help rebuild confidence and motivation while also meeting the students where they are. This includes:
- Credit recovery
- Passion projects
- One-on-one support from the educator
- Assessing student's needs for testing, accommodations and the
appropriate recommendation for the next step of academics
*School in residential is a mandatory part of programming.
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOL AT THE ARROW HOUSE
Routine and structure are important for teens, and they’re especially important when addressing mental health issues. Teens enrolled in our program will be able to continue learning at the same pace as their peers, while receiving further education on their mental health obstacles.
Assessment
Educators and clinical staff work together with students, parents and schools to review, assess, and advocate for IEP's, 504 plans, and learning disability diagnosis while under our care.
Clinical/School Integration
We use an integrated approach with each student's clinical team, family and school of record to allow the educator to develop an academic plan for each student that will accommodate
their daily needs.
Community Education Outreach
The Arrow House team is dedicated to revitalizing our youth and showing them recovery in all forms as this is not only rewarding, but meaningful. Education is a large piece of teen recovery. We are dedicated to working with schools to build awareness surrounding topics related to mental health, learning disabilities, and substance use struggles within the teen population.
