THE ARROW HOUSE DIFFERENCE

School doesn’t have to be placed on hold for treatment!

At the Arrow House, we believe education in treatment should do more than just keep students on track, it should help them reconnect with learning in a way that feels meaningful, manageable, and even inspiring.

WASC Accreditation = Continuation of Education in Treatment

The Arrow House and its educational program has been reviewed and approved by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a respected accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

For families, this means:

  • Credits earned during treatment count and are recognized by schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Students can work on academic credit recovery, either working on course credit they missed or need to retake without having to repeat an entire school year.
  • The education is held to high standards. WASC ensures that curriculum, teaching, and student support meet rigorous quality benchmarks.
  • Transitions are smoother. Whether returning to school, transferring, or applying to college, students don’t lose academic progress.
  • WASC accreditation signals that the Arrow House educational program is legitimate, structured, and academically sound, not just a placeholder during treatment.

School is a required part of the Arrow House program.

We will partner with school of origin and nationally accredited schools to offer flexible options, including real-time online classes and one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s needs with our Lead Educator Erin Moscos. Students spend 2.5 hours each day in a small, supportive classroom setting of 6–10 peers. Our educational focus is about more than grades. It's about rebuilding confidence, reigniting curiosity, and making sure students feel seen and supported.

Depending on their needs, this might include:

  • Catching up on missed credits
  • Exploring personal interests through passion projects
  • Getting individualized guidance from our on-site educator
  • Evaluating what testing or accommodations might help them thrive
  • Making thoughtful recommendations for their next academic step

We Understand Student Needs

At the Arrow House, we take the time to truly understand how each student learns best. Our educator works closely with the clinical team, families, and school of origin to assess what support is needed, whether that’s an IEP, a 504 plan, or a learning disability diagnosis.

We’re here to help identify what’s working, what’s missing, and how we can better support the student both now and in the future. Advocacy is a big part of what we do, because every student deserves to feel seen and supported in their education.

Our Collaborative Approach

We use an integrated approach to school work as our entire team works as one, blending clinical insight with academic planning to create a day-to-day learning experience that meets each student’s emotional and educational needs. Together, we build a plan that’s flexible, realistic, and tailored to help students feel successful, not overwhelmed.
