Katie Hommes-Algera, ACSW | Family Therapist

Katie1

Katie Hommes-Algera is an Associate Clinical Social Worker that brings extensive experience in family systems, trauma, and neurodiversity to The Arrow House. Her background includes providing in-home Structural Family Therapy for youth transitioning from hospitalization, years of collaboration with families and schools around behavioral and learning challenges, and work in community mental health and domestic violence.

Katie is passionate about helping families who feel stuck or in crisis, working to expand perspectives and strengthen connections between parents and teens. She is deeply committed to ensuring teens feel seen and heard while helping families build more effective, supportive relationships. She believes many teen behaviors stem from a need for safety and connection and approaches her work with curiosity and collaboration.

Katie defines success as living in alignment with one’s values, maintaining strong relationships, and working through challenges. She encourages teens and families to stay open to the process, remembering that while a day can feel hard, there is always another chance to try again. To her, The Arrow House represents structured, compassionate support. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, yoga, creating art, and spending time with family, pets, and nature.
